If your data gets corrupted, deleted, or encrypted, a backup can significantly reduce the impact of the incident.
We know this.
But what we don’t always remember is that we also need to backup “the other stuff” that we rely on to do our job.
Why?
Because, as I learned the hard way this weekend:
If you don’t have a full & very recent backup…
of your MFA Authenticator phone app,
Recovering from a faulty phone…
can be a bigger headache…
than you imagined.
What’s my point?
Puppies aren’t just for Christmas.
And backups aren’t just for data.
