It’s a bank holiday today in Ireland, and the sun is still shining.

So, now is clearly the perfect time to sit indoors and learn about cyber security while also earning an hour of CPD (Continuous Professional Development).

I recently worked with the Compliance Institute* to develop a short course on cyber security risks and regulations. The course is designed for people working in first or second line roles who are not techies but who want to know more about how to manage cyber security.

Using Plain English, I discuss how most attacks succeed, the Central Bank of Ireland’s expectations in relation to cyber security, and how the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) changes the regulatory baseline.

You can sign up for the module at https://iob.ie/programme/cybersecurity-risks-and-regulations, and if you are a member of Institute of Banking (IOB) or Compliance Institute, you will earn 1 hour of CPD upon completion.

PS I can deliver similar training to your senior colleagues or board members, tailored to your specific areas of concern and interest. Just send me an email to learn more.
